A high-level meeting to examine the situation in Afghanistan is apparently underway at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official residence in New Delhi, amid anxiety and uncertainty following the Taliban’s takeover of the country.
PM Modi, the Union Defence Minister, the Union Home Minister, the Union Finance Minister, and the Minister of External Affairs are all present at the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) meeting. The CCS is the highest governing body in charge of national security matters.
According to reports, the meeting featured Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor, and Harsh Vardhan Shringla, the Foreign Secretary, as well as India’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Rudrendra Tandon, who returned to India today
