IMD predicts monsoon is likely to reach Delhi today

The meteorological department of India has predicted light rain or thundershowers in Delhi. The official report stated that the monsoon is likely to reach the city on Saturday.

The meteorological department of India has predicted light rain or thundershowers in Delhi. The official report stated that the monsoon is likely to reach the city on Saturday.
The minimum temperature settled at 28.6 degrees Celsius which is one notch above normal. The humidity at 8.30  was 65 percent.
IMD has further informed, the southwest monsoon will reach Delhi on Saturday. This was the most delayed monsoon in the capital in the last 15 years. The report further suggests
“The monsoon is likely to advance over remaining parts of west Uttar Pradesh, some more parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan and Delhi around July 10,”
The weatherman further assumed a partly cloudy sky with light rain or thundershowers towards evening and night in the city.
According to MeT officials, the maximum temperature would settle around 38 degrees Celsius.
Data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) showed that Delhi’s hourly air quality index (AQI) at 8 am was 108.
