In Indonesia, the debris of an accident-prone aircraft has been found in the Java Sea. The plane crashed into the sea shortly after taking off on Saturday. Divers on Sunday discovered parts of the aircraft at a depth of about 75 feet in the sea. Black boxes of the aircraft have also been detected. There were 62 people on board. None of them are expected to survive. The cause of the accident is also not yet clear.
Air Chief Marshal Haidi Tzahjanto said, ‘We received the news that the water is well up to the scene, which has helped the crew of divers to find parts of the aircraft. We are sure that this is the place where the plane crashed. Earlier rescuers had found human remains, clothes and some pieces of metal from that place. Here, Sorjento Tzahjono, head of the Indonesia National Transport Safety Committee, said that both black boxes of the aircraft have been identified.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the plane crash in Indonesia. Expressing condolences to the families of the victims through a tweet on Sunday, he said that India stands with Indonesia in this hour of grief.
