Health Minister of Kerala, KK Shailja could not find her place in the the new cabinet.. The cabinet comprises of 11 new faces which are from CPI (M).

Pinarayi Vijayan from CPI (M) elects as the new Parliamentary leader making his way for the Chief Minister of Kerala. As per the statement of CPI (M), the state committee of the Marxist party met at the headquarters of AKG Centre on Tuesday. There they elected Vijayan to lead the party. The statement added that the chairperson of the party, Elamaram Kareem decided to assign Vijayan for leading the party. Vijayan has a history of leading the Left front in the polls on April 6.
