Former Goa Governor Mridula Sinha has passed away.  Mridula Sinha was associated with the Jana Sangh from the beginning and was an effective leader of the BJP.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have expressed grief over his death.
 Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Mridula Sinha will always be remembered for her efforts towards public service.  She was a skilled writer, who has made a huge contribution in the world of literature along with culture.  Saddened by his demise  My condolences to his family and fans
