Sources in the Indian Foreign Ministry have told to media that India has for the time being banned the export of the Kovishield, a Corona vaccine developed by the Oxford-AstraZeneca.
According to the ministry, due to increasing cases of corona in India, there will be an increase in the domestic demand for vaccine in the coming weeks and the vaccine will be needed here.
Although the authorities have called it a time step, but it will affect the vaccine exports till the end of April.
It will affect about 190 countries covered under the Kovacs scheme.
The goal of the Kovacs scheme under the leadership of the World Health Organization is to ensure the corona vaccine in all countries.
