Two hydroelectricity plants of the Baihetan Giant, the largest ever to be built worldwide, produced energy for the first time on Monday on the Yangtze River in Southwest China. After Monday’s three-day testing, Chinese central TV (CCTV) stated, the first two 1-gigawatt Turbines (GW) would be officially operational.
The Baihetan is located on the borough between the southwest Yunnan Provinces and the Sichuan provinces, and it is built by China’s Three Gorges Company, the world’s biggest water power facility operator, Three Gorges Dam.
