In a letter announcing his departure from the Congress on Tuesday evening, ex-Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh unleashed a scathing attack on opponent Navjot Sidhu, calling the former cricketer “an acolyte of the Pakistani deep state” and “a person of an unstable mind.”
Mr. Sidhu, with whom Amarinder Singh had a long and public rivalry that eventually led to his departure as chief minister in September, was lambasted by Amarinder Singh for “using the filthiest and most vile language against me”.
