According to Uttar Pradesh Police assistant director general (law and order) Prashant Kumar, two more persons have been arrested in connection with the second First Information Report (FIR) filed in the ongoing Lakhimpur Kheri violence case. These are the first arrests made in connection with the case’s second FIR.
The new arrests, identified as Gurwinder Singh and Vichitra Singh, are related to the assassination of four persons earlier this month, including two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) officials, a driver, and a local journalist, according to Kumar.
