The Centre amended the existing norms for international arrivals in India on Wednesday. For travelers to board an international aircraft to India, the amended standards, which take effect on October 25, demand an obligatory RT-PCR report showing samples tested as negative.
The existing standards for international arrivals in India have been revised in light of increased vaccine coverage around the world and the changing character of the pandemic, according to a notification from the ministry of health and family welfare.
Due to the coronavirus infections (Covid-19) pandemic, international planned commercial flights to India have been halted till October 31. International cargo flights and those certified by the regulator on specified routes were allowed to fly, according to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
