Today, the body of a pilot who went missing after a helicopter crash near Pathankot district in Punjab on August 3 was discovered. Captain Jayant Joshi was the Army helicopter’s second pilot when it fell into Ranjit Sagar Dam.
The Army and Navy’s 75-day hunt came to an end today when the body was discovered in the lake bed. Because of the dam’s huge size and depth, the search and rescue team used cutting-edge multi-beam sonar equipment to scan the lake, and based on the results, a remotely operated vehicle with a robotic arm and professional divers were dispatched to investigate the region.
