World environmental day is widely celebrated across the globe to spread the awareness about greener living and to encourage in protecting the environment.

According to the United Nations, “the celebration of this day provides us with an opportunity to broaden the basis for an enlightened opinion and responsible conduct by individuals, enterprises, and communities in preserving and enhancing the environment.”

The theme of 2021 environmental day focuses on the ecosystem restoration , in preserving and reviving billions of hectares of forests . This year’s global host for the day is pakistan. The pandemic has made us realize the importance of a greener , cleaner environment , since the shrinking area of natural habitat for animals has created an ideal condition for pathogens including coronaviruses to spread. It’s high time we adapt ourselves to a more sustainable living . Reusing and recycling is a great way to start a more eco-friendly living.
