Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the first state across the country to geotag its 7,368 community kitchens and community shelters across 75 districts. They produce 12 lakh food packets in a day, senior official said on Sunday.
The state government came in tie up with Google – to ‘Geo-map’ the locations of all these initiations on the Google Maps app for ease of beneficiaries, he said.

The CM Yogi lead government had foreseen the crisis in the initial phase and successfully started establishing community kitchens by mobilizing the resources of the state on a massive scale and also reaching out to civil society, religious establishments and non-governmental organisations, he added.
