The Taliban reacted angrily to a recent US statement expressing alarm about the blacklisting of several members of the Taliban’s newly established administration, claiming that such a position, as well as such words, are a blatant violation of the Doha Agreement. “Some cabinet members of the Islamic Emirate or family members of late Haqqani Sahib – may Allah be pleased with him – are on the US blacklists and are still targets, according to Pentagon officials.”
The Islamic Emirate considers this stance to be a clear violation of the Doha Agreement, which is neither in the interests of the US nor Afghanistan, according to a statement released by the group.
