The prohibition on scheduled overseas flights in India has been extended until November 30

The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Friday extended the suspension on planned international passenger flights until November 30, 2021, citing the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The ban will not apply to foreign all-cargo operations or flights that have been specially cleared by the DGCA, according to the circular. In addition, the competent authorities may approve international scheduled flights on specific routes on a case-by-case basis, according to the Indian regulatory agency.

The notice read: “In partial modification of circular dated 26-06-2020, the competent authority has further extended the validity of circular issued on the subject cited above regarding Scheduled International commercial passenger services to/from India till 2359 hrs IST of 31st October 2021. This restriction shall not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA.”
