Australia has suffered a major setback before the fourth Test. The team’s star player Will Pukowski is injured. After this, his playing in the fourth Test against India starting on 15 January is considered to be doubtful. In fact, he suffered an injury to his right shoulder during the Sydney Test when he tried to stop the ball from falling in the 86th over of the Indian innings.
He was hurt that he sat for a while holding his shoulder. Eventually he left the field. He is then taken to the hospital for a scan. According to Australian media, “There is no official update yet about Pukowski’s fitness”.
Pukowski, who made his Test debut against India, scored 62 runs in the first innings but was dismissed for just ten runs in the second innings. Last month too, he succumbed to concussion (head injury) during a practice match. Let us know that the last Test of the Border-Gavaskar Test Series between India and Australia is to be played at BABBEN’s Gaba from 15 January. The four-match series is currently 1–1.
