The Government of India has announced a corona vaccine for people over 18 years of age in the coming days. Now Congress President Sonia Gandhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi about this.
Sonia has questioned the central government’s vaccine policy in the letter. The letter calls for a change, calling the government’s policy as arbitrary and discriminatory.
Gandhi alleges that through the new policy of Corona vaccine, the central government has given up the responsibility of providing free vaccine to people between 18 and 45 years old.
Actually, the Serum Institute released the prices of its covishield vaccine on the previous day, which have different prices for the central and state government. According to the rate list released by the serum, the vaccine will be given at Rs 400 per dose to the state government, Rs 600 to the private hospital and Rs 150 to the central government.
In a letter to PM Modi, Sonia has raised the question that higher vaccine prices will increase the pressure on the state governments and the common man will have to pay more for the vaccine. In such a situation, how can the same vaccine manufacturer decide three types of rates.
Sonia has further written in the letter that- Congress has already demanded that this policy be re-evaluated.
Surely any sensible person would agree to the benefit of a similar price for vaccination. Interfere in this matter and change this wrong decision. The goal of the country should be that people above 18 years of age get vaccinated, irrespective of their economic condition.
