Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the government’s interference in everything produces more disruption than a solution. Therefore, the government’s effort this year will be to reduce more than 6,000 business rules (compliance) at the central and state level. He said that the burden of observance of rules should be incident and the government is very serious about it.
He said that now technology has come. Therefore, the government wants to end the process of filling forms repeatedly for everything. Addressing a webinar on the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, the Prime Minister said that the government’s emphasis is to move forward by relying on the citizens of the country. Therefore self-regulatory, self-verification and self-authentication are being emphasized. Referring to the provision of two lakh crore rupees for the schemes related to the PLI scheme in the budget, Modi said that the PLI scheme itself is expected to produce about 520 billion rupees in the country during the next five years, worth about Rs 40 lakh crore. Employment in the PLI scheme sectors is also expected to double. He said that the PLI scheme would benefit the MSMEs a lot, as every sector would have major units and major units would need supply chains which would cater to the MSMEs.
The Prime Minister said that the supply of millions of doses of vaccine is also becoming an Indian brand, India’s identity is being created and its benefits will also be available in the business. He said that the aircraft which are going around the world carrying millions of doses of vaccine, they are not coming empty. They are also bringing with them an increased trust, affinity and an emotional attachment with India. Modi said that India has become a brand today. Now entrepreneurs only have to identify their product. The matter of selling cheap goods quickly may be right in its place, but the strength of quality is large.
