Purvi Modi set established a company in the British Virgin Islands to operate as a corporate protector of a trust founded through the Trident Trust Company in Singapore a month before fugitive diamond merchant Nirav Modi fled India in January 2018.
According to records obtained by The Indian Express, Brookton Management Ltd was established in December 2017 to function as The Deposit Trust’s corporate protector.
Purvi indicated on the BVI company establishment form that the monies to be put into Brookton would come from her salary and personal earnings as the creative director of Firestar, the firm accused of defrauding Punjab National Bank (PNB) through fake letters of undertaking (LOUs).
