The donations being collected for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya has become a matter of concern for the Congress. In Rajasthan, the National Students Union of India (NSUI), the student wing of the Congress, has campaigned to collect funds for the Ram temple. Senior Congress leader Manish Tiwari has opposed this by tweeting about it. He has spoken of lack of brainstorming on core issues within the party. The Congress MP tweeted on Friday morning, ‘NSUI collecting funds for the Ram temple once again highlights the need for dialogue within the Congress on core issues. Congress is a secular party.
Let me tell you that it was revealed that the Rajasthan NSUI has started a campaign to collect funds for the construction of Ram temple. However, Abhishek Chaudhary of Rajasthan NSUI says that his campaign is to highlight the game of BJP-RSS. He said that in our eyes, the donation given devoutly is equal and there should be no difference between rich and poor.

Even before this, there has been a sharp comment in the Congress about the donation of Ram temple. Recently, the former Madhya Pradesh minister Kantilal Bhuria had said in a statement that BJP leaders collect money in the name of Chanda and in the evening drink liquor from that money. The money collected so far in the name of the temple should be accounted for. There was a lot of ruckus on this statement of Bhuria. BJP leader Rameshwar Sharma, replying to them, said that the amount collected as donations goes directly to the trust of the temple.
