Manish Lakra, the proprietor of the building that went up in flames near Mundka metro station on Friday evening, resulting in the deaths of 27 people and wounding 17 more, has been seized by the Delhi Police. The two men – Harish Goyal and his brother Varun Goyal – have already been arrested, and police are on the hunt for the building’s owner, who allegedly managed to escape the fire with his family from the top-floor unit by climbing onto the roof of an adjacent building.
According to authorities, the Goyal brothers were questioned about the lack of fire safety measures in place, even though their company employs approximately 250 people and the storage of flammable goods in significant amounts on the floors.
