A man in Bihar was injected with an “empty” syringe at a covid vaccination center in the state. The incident came to light after a video of the incident in Chhapra was widely shared on social media.
The video-which was shot on a mobile phone-shows the nurse taking out a new syringe and straightaway inoculating the man without drawing the vaccine from the vial.
The nurse who administered the ‘injection’ has reportedly been removed from duty.
The man who was administered the ‘vaccine’ said he realised what had happened only hours later, after he was alerted by the friend who shot the video.
He said officials at the vaccination site had been informed and they had been assured that the issue will be looked into.
