Earlier, Mamta Banarjee had spoken about how she had to tolerate ‘insults’ in the meetings with the Prime Minister. She alleged that the CMs were reduced to nothing but puppets. She described the meetings as casual and super flop since they were not allowed to speak. “If the states were not allowed to speak, why were they called”, she said.

Later, the Prime Minister held a meeting with the District Magistrates. Though there were a few Chief Ministers present, the meeting was especially held to interact with the District Magistrates. Mamta Banarjee fumed at the Prime Minister in the same meeting.

In response to this, Suvendu Adhikari who was formerly a TMC member and presently from BJP said that Bengal’s covid numbers are miserable and the Chief Minister wants to play politics now. He also mentioned that Mamta Banarjee hardly attends meetings with the Prime Minister.

Today, our respected CM @MamataOfficial has once again shown her total disinterest in administration.

True to her style, she has politicised a meeting Hon'ble PM @narendramodi held with District Officials, where grassroots level practices to fight COVID-19 were being discussed.

— Suvendu Adhikari (@SuvenduWB) May 20, 2021

5 out of the 7 District Officials who spoke today belonged to non-BJP ruled states of Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and AP.

Cooperative federalism is the firm commitment of PM @narendramodi unlike CM @MamataOfficial who only believes in confrontational federalism.

— Suvendu Adhikari (@SuvenduWB) May 20, 2021

West Bengal’s COVID numbers are miserable, but the Chief Minister wants to play politics.

The @AITCofficial is still busy in gory victory dances and targeting opponents.

It is better they get down to work because the great People of West Bengal are watching!
