Mumbai | Tensions within the Mahayuti alliance intensified when a confrontation broke out between Bharatiya Janata Party members and Shiv Sena workers in Thane, the political base of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Police filed a Non Cognisable offence against a BJP leader and former corporator after Shiv Sena members claimed he attacked two of their office bearers.
The clash took shape in the Pachpakhadi locality on Thursday night, as Shiv Sena workers were celebrating and attributing the recent approval for registering homes under the Basic Services to the Urban Poor scheme to their efforts according to sources.
