Irfan Pathan, the former fast bowler of the Indian cricket team, gave a big reason for the defeat of Team India in the very first match of the T20 series. According to Irfan Pathan, the major reason for the defeat against England was the pace attack. India lost the first match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad by a margin of 8 wickets.
Irfan Pathan gave such a reaction because the Indian team, batting first, scored 124 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs and six of 7 wickets were taken by the England fast bowlers. Out of this, Joffra Archer had three successes and gave 23 runs. Jofra Archer was also adjudged Player of the Match for his superb bowling.
Talking about the Indian pace attack, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shardul Thakur, who returned to the team after a long time due to injury, did not get any success. India came into the match with their three main spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar and Akshar Patel, out of which Vashi and Chahal had one success each.
