On Thursday , P.V Sindhu entered the women’s singles quarter finals after beating Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt in straight games at the Tokyo Olympics badminton competition .
The 26-year-old indian , who won silver in the 2016 Rio Olympics, notched up a 21-15-21-13 win over the 13th seed blichfeldt in a 41-minute match.
Sindu will next face the winner of the match between Akane Yamaguchi of Japan and Korea’s Kim Gaeun.
Sindu played some jaw-dropping shots, especially the crosscourt drop shots and was particularly good at the drop shots near the net. The Danish didn’t help her own cause as she made several errors in her serves making sinfu’s task even more easier.
