On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and other dignitaries praised India’s 130-million-strong spirit as the country made history by providing the billionth coronavirus disease (Covid-19) vaccine shot, surpassing the 100-million mark.
Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter to say that this is history in the making and thanked all of the medical professionals and civilians who helped make this happen.
The extraordinary feat was accomplished under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, according to the home minister, who has “re-acquainted the world with the immense potential of New India”.
