Concerned about specific areas reporting high Covid positive rates, the Centre has asked for stronger measures to limit infection transmission. Rajesh Bhushan, the Health Secretary, has addressed to eight states with high positive rates, requesting them to take urgent measures to reduce cases and to provide information of the activities done in accordance with the Disaster Management Act.
Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Kerala, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Odisha, and Sikkim are among the states that have received the health ministry’s message. These states have the greatest number of districts with positive levels greater than 10%.
