With the number of Covid-19 cases in the country increasing somewhat over the last week, numerous states have chosen to reinstate compulsory mask use in public areas. Kerala is the most recent state to make the wearing of face masks mandatory at work, at public meetings, and on public transportation. Due to the increase of instances, numerous states and union territories, which had previously removed many Covid limitations, have reinstituted regulations and increased testing.
Last week, the Delhi administration stated that masks would once again be required, with a fine of Rs 500 if they were not worn. The state administration made the decision after India’s R-value — a measure of how rapidly a disease spreads across the population — surpassed 1 for the very first time since mid-January.
