The Bengaluru CS Patil Director of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) unit stated that the orange warning was given in coastal districts of Karnataka until June 17, with extensive rainfall in the state as a whole.
Patil claimed that on Sunday there were extensive showers on the coastline of Karnataka and the southern interior of Karnataka.
“There is a broad risk of rainfall throughout the whole of Karnataka from 13 to 17 June. The rains are expected to be high or very severe from 13 to 17 June in Uttar Kannada, Udupi, Dakshin Kannada. The orange alert will be reported from 13 to 17 June “Patil said.
