German diplomat Walter J Lindner said Germany is removing the restriction against most passengers from five nations affected by the ‘Delta’ form of COVID-19. On Monday, the German Public Health Agency Robert Koch Institute announced that India, Nepal, Russia, Portugal and the United Kingdom, which are presently designated as ‘the variation of viruses,’ would be reclassified as ‘high incidence locations,’ starting Wednesday.
The shift implies that travellers visiting these nations have easier criteria. Persons with both vaccine doses or with evidence of recovery from COVID do not need to isolate themselves upon return or arrival.
