A gas leakage from a chemical factory in Maharashtra’s badlapur created panic among residents as residents within 3 kilometers surroundings suffered from breathing trouble and eye irritation but no injuries were reported.
The fire brigade official said gas leakage was caused due to overheating following a chemical reaction between sulfuric acid and benzyl acid in the company. The fire brigade rushed to the spot and the leakage was stopped around 11.24pm.
“I, along with other colleagues , were working in a nearby factory. Suddenly , we started having problems breathing. Later, we got to know that there was a gas leak in a factory in the area,” a man saying quoted by ANI.
