Ranjit Sinha, former director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), died in Delhi on Friday morning. According to media reports, it is being said that he died due to corona virus. He was 68. Officials say that it is understood that on Thursday night, Ranjit Sinha was found to be infected with Corona virus.
A 1974 batch officer of the Bihar cadre, Sinha led the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) and the Railway Protection Force and held senior positions in the Central Bureau of Investigation in Patna and Delhi before becoming CBI chief in 2012.
