The committee set up by the Supreme Court to quell the ongoing dispute on agricultural law is constantly raising questions, about which the Supreme Court has now expressed its displeasure. During the hearing on Wednesday, the Supreme Court said that all the members of the committee are experts in their field, so it is not right to raise any kind of question on them.
On Wednesday, advocate Dushyant Dave, Prashant Bhushan informed on behalf of the farmers organizations in the Supreme Court that the farmers organizations have decided that they will not go before the committee, because in the past the committee has expressed its opinion in favor of agricultural laws.
However, the court has also issued notice on this petition and has said that the Attorney General should reply to it.
Let us tell you that a committee of four members was formed by the Supreme Court to settle the dispute on the issue of agricultural law. Bhupinder Singh Mann, a member of the committee, had separated himself after the controversy. However, the remaining three members held the first meeting on the previous day, in which it was decided that on 21 January, the committee will meet the farmers’ organizations for the first time.
