The Center informed the Supreme Court of the failure to pay compensation Rs 4 lakh to everyone who perished as the result of the Covid-19 catastrophe relief fund would be depleted. The affidavit was issued by the Center in response to a PIL for “minimal relief criteria” and former payments to the deceased Covid19. In India, about 4 lakhs have died since the onset of the epidemic, according to Covid-19 official data published by the Ministry of Health.
The Government also stated that Covid is a continuing crisis and that, in this instance, basic criteria for relief and compensation vary from previous catastrophes
