Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), required that all officials and workers of the Agency be dressed officially at the office and that the use of casual attire, such as jeans or sports shoes will not be permitted. The men’s dress code is to be shirts, formal pants, and formal shoes in accordance with the order. They must also be well shaven to the office. Only sarees, suits, formal shirts, and pants were asked by women personnel of the CBI.

Heads of the CBI branches around the nation are instructed to ensure strict compliance with these instructions.
