Australia have scored 118/0 runs in 22 overs.  Aaron Finch (56) and David Warner (48) are at the crease.  Finch completed his half-century in 69 balls.  This is his 28th fifty in ODIs.
Finch completed his 5000 runs in ODIs as soon as he scored 17 runs.  This is the fastest 5000 runs (126 innings) after Warner (115 innings) from Australia.
Captain Aaron Finch and David Warner started the innings for the hosts.  Mohammad Shami put the first over for India.  Jasprit Bumrah made his debut from the other end.

Australia won the toss in the opening ODI at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and decided to bat first.  Mayank Agarwal will start the innings with Shikhar Dhawan from Team India.  Manish Pandey, Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson, Shardul Thakur and T. Natarajan are not in the playing eleven.  In the Australian team, Steve Smith has been replaced by injured Mitchell Marsh.
The Indian cricket team has made a comeback to international cricket against a veteran like Australia, amidst the new atmosphere in New Jersey and Corona.  Virat Kohli’s team last played an international match against New Zealand in early March.
