Brihanmumabi Municipal Corporation (BMC)’s Mumbai-based Sero Survey has demonstrated that more over 51% of children aged 6 to 18 years acquired antimicrobial antibodies to Covid-19. This is the fourth sero survey carried out in Mumbai since the first Covid shutdown in the nation was enforced in March 2020. A probable third wave of Covid-19 which is expected to adversely affect children was undertaken in the context of the most recent sero testing.
The primary results of this study reveal that 51% of paediatrics had already been exposed to SARS-COV-2 in a health care environment.
The total seropositivity is 51.18%, 54.36% of the public sector and 47.03% of the private sector.
