Bill Gates, the American billionaire, and philanthropist praised India on Friday for attaining a “tremendous milestone” by providing 10 million vaccine doses against coronavirus disease (Covid-19), the largest single-day vaccine coverage ever recorded. This, according to Gates, was the outcome of the government’s, research and development (R&D) community’s, vaccine makers’, and all other health workers’ combined efforts.
Gates stated in a tweet that Congratulations, India, on hitting this amazing milestone, as he posted a news piece about vaccine coverage. This feat was made possible by the combined efforts of the government, the R&D community, vaccine makers, and millions of health workers. Gates also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s and the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s Twitter accounts, which retweeted his message.
