Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister, stated on Thursday that the income tax agency had raided some of his enterprises earlier in the day. Pawar stated that he had no complaints, but that he is concerned about similar actions conducted against his relatives’ businesses.
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader told that: “It is true IT has raided a few firms related to me. It is their right… I don’t know whether they were conducted for political purposes or they want more information as we have been paying taxes on time.”
