On Monday, a day after Sanjay Rathod resigned from the Maharashtra government’s cabinet, the Shiv Sena praised Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. At the same time, the party exhorted Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari to nominate 12 members from his quota for the Legislative Council and follow ‘Raj Dharma’.It is worth mentioning that Shiv Sena MLA and State Forest Minister Sanjay Rathod resigned from the cabinet on Sunday due to political turmoil arising after a woman allegedly committed suicide in Pune. In the party mouthpiece ‘Saamana’, the Shiv Sena termed Koshyari as the ‘Governor appointed by the BJP’.Along with this, the party accused the Governor of quota for delay in deciding to nominate 12 members of the Legislative Council, saying that it is against the Constitution. The party said, ‘Maha Vikas Aghadi government has real control in its hands. Chief Minister Thackeray is following his ‘Raj Dharma’ because of this. The Shiv Sena said that the opposition party BJP also has the responsibility of ‘Raj Dharma’. The party said, ‘The governor (Bhagat Singh Koshyari) appointed by the BJP has more responsibility. The Governor is not nominating 12 MLCs from his quota which means that he is not following the Raj Dharma.
