Four national level hockey players have died in a car accident. Monday morning was heartbreaking for the Indian sports world. While three have been seriously injured. According to the news, these players were in Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh to take part in Dhyan Chand Trophy. Where the tournament was going on and the stay of the players was arranged in Itarsi. On the way to Itarsi on Highway 69, near Risalpur village, the car rammed uncontrollably into the tree.

According to reports, all the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, where the condition of one is very critical. This painful accident has also raised many questions on the tournament event. The first biggest question is why the stay was arranged in another city. The second question is that there was such a distance between the tournament location and the place of stay, then why did not arrange to bring in the organisers, because of which the players had to leave in their personal car. Minister in charge of Hoshangabad, PC Sharma said that after having more teams, arrangements were made to stop some players in Itarsi. He said that soon after this accident, all the parties including the collector have come to the action. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath mourned the accident and promised all possible help to the injured. He tweeted that the news of the accident of a vehicle belonging to hockey players going to Hockey tournament in Hoshangabad near Rasalpur village is very sad. He expressed condolences to the families of the players who died in the accident.
