In India, on one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is encouraging people to promote cashless transactions, on the other hand, a large payment app in the US has prepared to close its facilities for domestic users of India. Yes, PayPal Holdings, a well-known digital payment company, has announced the closure of its domestic payment service in India from 1 April 2021. This decision of PayPal has given a big blow to the domestic users who use the payment app.
Digital payment app PayPal on Friday said that from April 1, the company is going to discontinue domestic payment services in India. Instead, PayPal will now focus on the cross border payment business. A PayPal spokesperson said, “We will continue to invest in product development, which enables Indian businesses to reach around 350 million PayPal users worldwide.” This increases their sales internationally and helps the Indian economy grow. ‘
San Jose’s California-based PayPal reported that from April 1, Indian users can still use PayPal for international transactions. For now, all the focus of the company will be focused on opening more international sales avenues for Indian businesses.
This means that now Indian users will not be able to use this app for domestic shopping from April 1. If you also use PayPal app for transactions in India, then from April 1, this app will no longer be of use to you. If you want, you can get your account deactivated. Let us tell you that PayPal has around 100 million users worldwide, this company is serving in 190 countries. Not only India but the entire world trust in PayPal.
