. In the capital city of Lucknow, there will be easy movement in areas situated along the river. The city will be connected from one end to the other by creating a green corridor on the Gomti River. The LDA has sent a proposal to the Housing Department for this. The authority has assessed the total expenditure of Rs 2087 crore on the project. According to the proposal, a two-lane corridor will be built between the greenery on the left and right banks of Gomti. Footpath will also be built to walk on both sides of the roads. This road will be built from IIM, Sitapur-Hardoi bypass to aqueduct near Kisan Path. A proposal has been sent for this. The Green Corridor is proposed in such a way that it will be able to go directly to Pipraghat via 1090 intersection. At the same time, 1090 intersection will be developed as the new city center of the city.
The length of the entire route will be around 20 km, which the LDA will prepare in five parts. A proposal to construct a bond road of Rs 270 crore has already been approved from the project. LDA and Irrigation Department have also constructed it in some parts. Basantkunj Yojana, IIM, Gomtinagar Extension, Bandha Road near Shalimar One World has been built in some part. Now there are plans to build this road on the banks of the entire river. According to LDA Chief Engineer Indushekhar Singh, the proposal has been prepared on the instructions of VC Abhishek Prakash on the demand of the Housing Department.
