A security source stated that Sea Baby maritime drones were deployed in a coordinated mission involving the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Navy.
Russia has not released an official reaction to the strikes. According to the Ukrainian source both tankers sustained severe damage rendering them unable to operate.
The source added that the outcome significantly disrupts Russian oil logistics. Russia relies on hundreds of tankers many registered under various flags to continue transporting its oil despite international sanctions.
