The Punjab Police arrested six suspects on Friday in connection with the Monday rocket-propelled grenade blast at the Punjab Police Intelligence headquarters in Mohali. The attack was carried out at the request of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and was carried out by the Khalistani terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) and local gangsters.

According to Punjab DGP VK Bhawra, the chief conspirator of the attack is Canada resident Lakhbir Singh Landa, a close friend of Pakistan-based Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda. Landa allegedly carried out the RPG attack with the assistance of associates Nishan Singh and Chadat Singh, both Tarn Taran locals. According to the police, one Nidhas Singh arranged for the attackers to stay at his home and through his contacts.
