As per the authorities, gunmen posing as Taliban assaulted a wedding in eastern Afghanistan to prevent music from being played, killing at least three people. Two of the three assailants had been captured, according to Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, who denied they were working on behalf of the Islamist organization.
He said: “Last night, at the wedding of Haji Malang Jan in Shamspur Mar Ghundi village of Nangarhar, three people who introduced themselves as Taliban, entered the proceedings and that the music stop playing.”
