The results of the fourth seropositivity research undertaken by the Indian Council of Medical Research were revealed by the Centre on Tuesday. As per the poll, this included children over the age of six, approximately one-third of the nation’s people is still susceptible to Covid-19 infection.
In the June-July national sero screening, 67.6 percent of India’s population over the age of 6 years was discovered to carry SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. The seroprevalence research included children beyond the age of six for the first time. It was held in 70 regions.
Eighty-five percent of the surveyed health professionals had antibodies against SARS-CoV-2; one-tenth of HCWs were remained unprotected.
