As per the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) new academic calendar ordered by the Supreme Court on Monday, engineering and technical institutes must resume courses for new students on October 25 and existing students on October 1. The schedule was created with the Covid-19 epidemic in mind, as well as the postponement in announcing the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and other state boards’ Class 12 results.

The AICTE timetable was authorised by a bench of justices L Nageswara Rao and Aniruddha Bose, who stated that an exemption to the timetable is being made exclusively due to the pandemic.
