Sources indicate that Pharma Major Cipla was authorized to import Moderna’s Covid vaccine in India for limited emergency usage. It is believed that Moderna is 90% efficient against Covid. Cipla highlighted the government’s decision to waive the linking of external vaccinations, in its request to the drug authority, if authorized for emergency use in countries such as America, and the safety assessment results of the first 100 beneficiaries are presented before mass deployment.
Moderna, like Pfizer, is an mRNA vaccine that includes genetic pieces known as messenger RNA. The vaccine can provide temporary signals for cells to produce the spiked coronavirus protein.
